Quante volte ti sei sentito diverso e deriso da tutti?
La forma più diffusa di bullismo è quella verbale, che consiste in continue offese, derisioni, insulti, minacce e pettegolezzi. E i temi sono molti: razza, religione, origine, orientamento sessuale, aspetto fisico ecc. Il fenomeno del bullismo nell'ultimo decennio si sta sviluppando sotto forma di cyberbullismo, ossia l'uso di social network (spesse volte in forma anonima) per molestare psicologicamente la vittima. Tante sono le campagne contro il bullismo promosse in tutto il mondo. Una delle più importanti in Italia è quella promossa dal Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione intitolata "Smonta il bullo" ( www.smontailbullo.it).
"Dovresti sapere che tu sei bellissimo così come sei" è il verso della canzone Scars to your beautiful di Alessia Cara; è ciò che qualsiasi persona vorrebbe sentirsi dire ogni volta che qualcuno la schernisce; ma è sopratutto ciò in cui noi dobbiamo fortemente credere, indipendentemente da ciò che gli altri dicono. Questa canzone è stata usata negli Stati uniti per la campagna contro il bullismo "I am a witness" (Io sono un testimone), promossa dall'organizzazione no-profit Ad Council nell'ottobre 2016. Alla fine del videoclip del brano, la cantante ci lascia un importante messaggio:
"Spesso il mondo ci dice, direttamente o indirettamente, che non dovremmo essere felici con noi stessi se non rientriamo in determinati standard di bellezza. Scars to your beautiful serve a ricordare che la bellezza non è solo uno stile, una forma, una taglia o un colore. E non è neanche tangibile. La bellezza si mostra sotto infinite quantità di aspetti e sta a noi riconoscerla."
